Q: I have scoliosis and osteo arthritis with knee pain- what can I do to releive the knee pain

I have both scoliosis and osteo arthritis. In the past month I have gotten a pain in the lower part of my right hip and tail bone. The pain has now transfered to my right knee. It aches all the time , whether I'm sitting or standing or laying down.  I  am still able to walk and climb stairs but I'm having a lot of trouble finding a position to sleep in and be confortable. I am a white female 77 years of age. What can you recommend or suggest to help relieve the pain? I do not want to get hooked on prescriptions pain killers , so is their something I can do?
