Q: Patella ligament too long.

MY SURGEON TOLD ME THAT MY KNEE CAP WAS TWO INCHES TOO HIGH AND MY PATELLA LIGAMENT IS TWO INCHES TOO LONG. MY KNEE JOINT EVENTUALLY WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. HE SAID WHOEVER WORKS ON MY KNEE, WHEN THEY ARE DONE I WILL HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM BECAUSE THEY DON'T MOVE THE KNEE CAP. I AM DRAGGING MY LEG BECAUSE IT DOESN'T WANT TO COME ALONG. THE PAIN AND SWELLING IS TERRIBLE AND I'M ONLY 56 YRS OLD. IS THIS TRUE? CAN'TSOMETHING BE DONE?
