Osteoarthritis can make exercising difficulty depending on what joint is effected. The knee joints can be painful to walk on, unless you can walk in a reduced gravity environment like the pool. Walking in the pool is very easy on painful ankle, knee, and hip joints. But, gaining access to a pool is difficult. Other ways to exercise comfortably include using a stationary bike. Again, this method of exercise reduces the load on the limb joints.

If your goal is to lose weight in order to ease the load on the joints, remember this: 30% of weight loss comes from exercise, 70% of weight loss comes from good nutrition. Old eating habits are hard to break, but not impossible if you want to change how you feel.
