Hi,  your issues sound exactly like mine.  I have been to the doctor several times without much luck.  At one point the doctor injected my joints with cortisone and they were better for about 8 weeks, however, when the effects of the injection wore off my fingers became 10 times worse and more swollen.  I actually think by injecting the needle in my joints it caused the arthritis to flare up.  I would NOT recommend doing this.  I live in the northwest part of the US and my hands are definitely worse in the winter, when we head south they improve, but it never completely disappears.
