Hi Waleed,

Thank you for your question. Although there are many people who will swear that glucosamine works miracles, there is no definite, conclusive evidence that glucosamine is effective. If you look closely at the bottle, there is a statement on there that the product has not been evaluated by the FDA. By law, the manufacturer cannot market the product to be used for the treatment of a disease - for example, glucosamine is advertised to "support healthy joints" rather than relieve osteoarthritis.

If you are interested in using glucosamine for your arthritis, it's important to discuss your plans with your doctor or pharmacist. He or she will be able to tell you whether it's okay to take with your other medications, and can give you their opinion about whether glucosamine would be helpful to your condition.

If you'd like to read more about glucosamine, you can go here.

Best of luck,

Casey
