help with osteoartritis

I have a freind here in Canada where i live with Osteoarthritis.His family doc finnally is going to send him to a specialist.He has pain in his groin that goes down his leg to his knee.I have been with him when his leg gave out and he colapsed.It happened again last night in front of his wife.He is in his early60,s and it seems to have moved to the other side.Does anyone have any suggestions as im very concerned.My email is samsontippysasha@hotmail.com Regards,john Stevens If you want to adress your advice to him,his name is Bruce and i will let him see what i receive on my computer.Thanks in advance.john
