When people tell me that they have "cut out everything", on closer examination, what they really mean to say that they have cut out everything that's easy to cut out. The difficult foods to eliminate include: bread, pasta, boxed cereal, juice, soda, and potatoes.
When I advise people about vitamins, I think it is best to start with a multi-vitamin and Vitamin D supplements. Most people have Vitamin D deficiency or bare minimum levels and most people have gaps in their diet that can be filled by a multi-vitamin that contains a little of everything.
Go for the deep cuts in your diet and start with the basic vitamins.
