Postmenopausal women who are obese or who have used hormone replacement therapy or meds such as Arimidex may be more prone to joint problems, a new study suggests. British researchers say that falling estrogen levels may be to blame. In the study of 9,000 women, arthritis was found in 41 percent of the women who had undergone HRT, and in 39 percent of the women who had undergone chemotherapy.
