An advisory panel to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has found mixed results about the safety of the new COX-2 inhibitor Arcoxia. In a recent study, researchers found that Arcoxia had similar cardiovascular risks as other pain meds. But patients who took Arcoxia were more likely to drop out of the study because of complications related to high blood pressure.
