According to a new study, maintenance therapy with the drug Remicade appears to be safe and effective in children with moderate to severe Crohn's disease. Researchers found that after two years, 74 percent of the 35 pediatric Crohn's patients treated for this period of time with Remicade showed no evidence of disease activity. Most of the patients or their caregivers also reported that the children felt in "very good health" over the previous two weeks.
