In a new study, people between the ages of 45 and 87 who had osteoarthritis (OA) and wore a knee brace had less pain, stiffness, disability after wearing the brace for six months. Researchers also found that these patients' quality of life improved after wearing knee braces for their OA, and the patients' activity levels went from one that did not allow them to play recreational sports to one that did.
