Taking certain herbs and dietary supplements with the blood thinner warfarin may make the drug ineffective or even dangerous, but researchers have found that many people who use the medicine are not aware of this. Investigators reached this conclusion after a survey of 100 patients currently taking warfarin, and they say their finding reveals a serious "communication gap" between doctors and patients about the safe of use of this drug.
