An analysis of studies involving the arthritis drug Celebrex showed higher doses of the drug are associated with an increasing risk of heart attacks and strokes. Researchers at the National Cancer Institute found that patients who took the highest dose of Celebrex--400 mg twice daily--had a nearly three-times higher risk of heart attacks and strokes than patients not taking the drug.
