Thank you Dr. for the very informative atricle concerning men's low testosterone during opiod therapy. I have the condition know as advanced adhesive arachnoiditis,as well as two lumbar herniations. My Dr. is so intuned with what is happening during the deteriation following pain and panic attacks. He performed dry needling to different areas of the body. A total of 22 needles for 20 minutes. I have more movement than I have in years! I will watch for any new info you may have. My Doc also gives my testosterone injections every 2 weeks. Thanksyou!

You are welcome. I wish more doctors were as informed and intuned as your doctor. Remember, that testosterone abnormalities are just one consequence of long-term opioid use. Just by being aware of these potential consequences, future problems can hopefully be avoided.

By tricking your body into releasing more natural pain relieves like dopamine and endogenous opioids through modalities like dry needling and/or accupunture, maybe you can find comfortable, sustainable a chemical free way of living.
