I have been having hip and back pains for over a year now. My doctor tells me that I have a ruptured dics, arthritis and that my hip bone was pressing down on my nerves.
Im having difficulty of even standing for a long period of time.

I am very sorry to hear about your health difficulties and discomfort, and the added frustration of not being sure if the diagnosis you've received is complete. The best way to know for sure if you have osteoporosis (and how severe it might be) is to receive a DXA scan. This will help you and your doctor (or if you wish, consult a specialist) decide the best course of action. Best wishes on your recovery.
