Researchers at the University of Granada suggest that glycine, a non-essential amino acid, taken as a dietary supplement may help to prevent osteoporosis and other degenerative diseases. In all cases involved in the study, symptoms were significantly reduced by adding glycine to the diet. The need for pain medication also decreased.
