Has anyone experienced fatigue after completing Forteo?

By Linda Friday, August 17, 2007
My 80 year old mother in law has been taking Forteo for 18 mos. She recently (2 months ago) experienced an onset of extreme vertigo causing her to be hospitilized.  While being treated for the vertigo her doctor ended her Forteo medication.  Since that time she has experienced loss of energy, fatigue and  mild over-heating.  I am not sure if this is a side effect of the Forteo or her ordeal with vertgo. My question is if there is anyone else who has finished the Forteo treatment and experienced fatigue, over-heating or dizziness?  I would appreciate any information you could share.

Thanks so much for sharing your family's experience with us. Hopefully some folks with first-hand knowledge of potential Forteo side effects will chime in. Good luck and I hope your mother-in-law recovers swiftly.

My 79 year old mother in law just started her third Forteo pen. Her doctor recommended the pen after her fall last October which fractured her right pelvic bones. Maybe because of the trauma of the fall, she's not eating but now her bones are healing well, she's still not eating. She' s lost nearly 10 kg.I was wondering if this a side effect of using the pen. Can anyone help?
