I was "switched" to Armidex during my 5th year of cancer treatment, having had tamoxifen for 2 and femara for 2, as the femara left me very achy.  10% bone loss in a from the time I started the femara to the the Arimedix change over.  I am now on Boniva and calcium plus D.... but, like my oncologist said, "We know how to treat osteoporosis.  If the cancer comes back, we may NOT know how to treat it."  Damned if I do and damned if I don't.  We just have to hang in there!
