How do I actually get one done?  I asked my former PCP for one and felt ignored.  I never got one done.  It seems that I haven't been able to get any follow-through on x-rays (not my favourite but if that's what it takes...), getting x-ray results from a doctor whose labs of certain arthritis-ridden areas, etc.  How do I get these things accomplished?  FrownYell

Anwyn, if you're having bone density issues, and your doc isn't seeing that you get a DEXA scan, then clearly you need to see a different doctor. Please ask the social services team at your hospital to refer you to a doctor who understands bone issues; or, search for a different doctor yourself. The DEXA is a baseline; it's a no-brainer.
