Anwyn, if you're having bone density issues, and your doc isn't seeing that you get a DEXA scan, then clearly you need to see a different doctor. Please ask the social services team at your hospital to refer you to a doctor who understands bone issues; or, search for a different doctor yourself. The DEXA is a baseline; it's a no-brainer.
