I'm confused by the jumping. I have osteoporosis and somehow thought that any jumping was a no no and could cause fractures.
Hi - That's why I mentioned OK-ing with your doctor first. It might be that very gentle jumping is good for you - maybe not even leaving the floor, but just going up on your toes. I know my osteopenia is helped by jumping; we each have to find out what works for us and the degree of bone loss we're experiencing, when it comes to any kind of exercise. Good luck - PJH
A number of years ago a friend mentioned that just raising up on your toes everyday for a few minutes was said to help in prevention ... now I wish I had put that into practice !
I'm going to put just raising up and down on my toes until I see my rheumatologist. I have get another dexa in the spring so will do anything to see improvement !!! I'm on my second year of Reclast so I'm banking on some help from that too.
Thank you for replying to my comment .. Happy New Year !

Hi PJ, thanks for the list of tips. Its funny, everything you wrote is common sense and things we've learned along our journey, some even that we learned as kids. Thanks for reminding me that its the little things that add up to good results. I will try to remember all you wrote, but won't get too mad at myself if i forget sometimes. On a lighter note, i'd like to offer to some of my extra pounds to the too thin people who need them more than i do. Have a very Happy New Year. take care, phyllis
Thanks for adding your 2¢, Phyllis - always good to see your name here. Happy 2010! PJH
