When we are first diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis we go through a range of emotions, like fear, disbelief, denial and stress. I'm sure most of you have dealt with this and have come up with many good ideas for resolving the stress and fear that this information brings. Many of you have probably given advice to friends to help them deal with this disorder and we'd like to hear your words of wisdom.

Our question this week is:

If you have osteoporosis and a friend who is newly diagnosed comes to you for advice, what three things would you tell them to help them get over the shock and fear of dealing with this?
