terrific post! I learned a lot from this and from the post about calcium rich foods.

 

I've been lactos intolerant sinc ethe early 90s and soymilk  bothers my stomach - all those years of RA meds have wrecked my GI system. Which means calcium tablet are really awful on my stomach - it's very hard  to digest. If any is having the same problem, try calmcium in liquid form (available in health food stores). My naturopath got me on that and it's much easier for me to take.

Hi PJ, thanks so much for a great informative post!  I really appreciate the reminder about oxalates, because we get a lot of questions about these and how they interfere with Ca absorption.  I love spinach, but I have to watch when I eat it, and we all do, as well as the other high oxalate veggies.
