Hi Priya, thanks so much for including the information on calcium.  We get so many questions about calcium since we are concerned about osteopenia and osteoporosis, that this should help our readers answer many questions.

The explanation on calcium carbonate and citrate should help those who are always wondering which form is best and how to take each one, whether with food or not.

I hope everyone gets a chance to read this and takes away a tremendous amount of valuable information.

Thanks...

Dear Pam,

Its nice to see you helping out folks again! Thank you for liking the post on Calcium. I ad got it direct from the Harvard Medical School since I subscribe to their posts, and I thought I would post it here verbatim. It does seem to cover all the questions -- except that it does not deal with Calcium Hydroxyapartite, which many are saying is very helpful in Osteoporosis. I know virtually nothing about it -- if you do could you please let us know?

Best wishes,

Yours,

Priya
