I had Reclasp intervenous.

By jpassino Saturday, February 07, 2009

I had Reclasp infusion on  Feb 2, 2009 and by Wednesday I had a sore throat, nose runny, eyes weepy and could hardly sleep at night. I'm hoping the flu like symptoms will soon go away.  My insurance (MeDicare doesn't cover it all I have to pay an addittional $300.00) I was on the Forteo for 2 years and had no problem with it other than I was sure glad when it was done.  I hope it will be worth it.

Hi jpassino:  Welcome to our community and nice to meet you!! Sorry you are having these side effects, but hopefully they will go away soon.

Your description of the side effects sound like what is listed at the drug co.'s web site for Reclast.  Unfortunately flu-like symptoms, and the others you mentioned are listed as common.  These symptoms aren't suppose to last long, so if they don't go away in a week or so, I would mention it to your Dr.

Did you see gains in your t-scores with Forteo?  It's good to hear you didn't have any major problems with Forteo, I didn't either.  I took Forteo for 2 years and did really well on it, but now I'm taking Evista.  Reclast is recommended over Evista, for post Forteo treatment, but I decided to give Evista a try anyway.

Good luck with the Reclast, and I hope the symptoms subside soon.  Glad you could join us!!
