  • Researchers at the University of Wisconisn are trying to tweak the Vitamin D molecule to develop a new medication against osteoporosis that could help the bones grow. (Normal Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium and has other positive effects on the body, but this would definitely take it a step further.)¬†Apparently it's worked so far in animals and human testing is now underway, though if successful it would still take years to get to market.
