Evista vs. Breast Cancer?

After intense research, the maker of anti-osteoporosis drug Evista is asking the FDA to approve its use against breast cancer. A related drug, Tamoxifen, is already widely used by breast cancer survivors. If approved this would be a particularly interesting development because breast cancer survivors at increased risk of osteoporosis, often because of their medication regimes for cancer. In contrast, this medicine might help protect their bones.
