Fighting Osteoporosis in Spanish

Lila de Tantillo Health Guide
  • A family friend who lives in Montevideo, Uruguay and knows that I write about osteoporosis just emailed me a Powerpoint presentation about the disease.

It included just the same kinds of points we often talk about here, specifically the incidence of osteoporosis in older women and the public health threat that the risk of fracture poses -- except in Spanish, of course.

Despite the grim statistics, it was heartening to see yet another corner of the world confronting the issue seriously and taking steps to raise awareness.
