I am a 55 year old woman who has been overweight most of her life and I have not been on a regimented exercise program. After reading this article it is encouraging to know that I could start exercising on a weekly basis and it would be beneficial to my bone health. Thanks so much for sharing your experience! It can be tough to get motivated at first -- it certainly was for me after I had my baby. But little by little the sense of physical well-being that comes with gentle exercise can really help, even if it is just walking around the block. Consult with your doctor about what is right for you, and remember, just a gradual amount of activity can really enhance one's lifestyle.
