I am finding this article very interesting as I had an ASD (hole in the heart) operation in 1990, and was well until 1998 when I had an episode of Atrial Flutter.  Then well again until 2005 when I started Fosamax, then I had five episodes of Atrial Flutter with Atrial Fib in one year.  Since I stopped I have been well, I have yet to convince any of my doctors that it was the Fosamax affecting me, but my medical aid who had dumped me for Atrial Flutter has now agreed to carry me after I bought up my case regarding the Fosamax.  So I think this drug can affect some people as nobody has taken note of my case.   Jenny
