i am only 54 and have had bone problems for many years now.  this disease can also be produced by drugs. mine is a drug induced problem from dilantin. i have been on the drug since age 7. i guess having a severe auto accident in 1980 didn't help. i crushed my entire chest and had a cervical fracture.
