Ida Wasserman suffers from osteoporosis and she used to walk hunched over a walker. But she says she's improved tremednously since she started working out several years ago. Check this out at


    Everybody is different, and one should always check with a doctor before starting a program like this. But while my 96-year-old grandmother (who also has osteo) is too frail to hit the gym, I hope I can convince her to start doing some arm movements to supplement her brief daily walk. It seems the benefits of weightbearing exercise on the bones and muscle have the potential to add years to your life -- and perhaps even life to your years.
