In my case I split my smoothie with my son, and since we get the dairy free one there's probably minimal amounts of calcium without the boost (since it's all fruit). However it's definitely something to think about for those who have experienced discomfort from calcium supplements and want to make sure they get exactly two daily doses of no more than 500 mg at a time.
