It is a very good news that such medicines which are safe and help in bone formation are coming to the market soon. As an Orthopedic practitioner I have found difficulty in choosing the right compound for some of my patients who need bone forming activity more than inhibition of bone resorption activity. I used Strontium Ranelate in some of my patients but found them extremely costly for the patients and they were unwilling to take them for a long time. Denosumab and also Zolidronate (Injectable once a year for 3years) as well as Injectable Ibandronate(Once every 3 months) are some of the drugs which may help patients to overcome the fear of daily medicines. This may in fact help compliance by patients.

Can anybody give me any news about what research is going on for the treatment of Juvenile Osteoporosis?
