Hey, this was very interesting. I wish all this had come to light when i was younger in my teens. I would have done alot more to help preserve my bones a little more. But i do have to say that my daughter who just turned 18 a few days ago has alot better chance of preserving hers. I hope that everyone takes this very serious because bone lose is not a fun thing to deal with. I realize im still young but with what my chemo did to my bones its a little to late for me. All i can do is hope that i keep them where they are and they dont get worse! I also hope that others reading these posts do repeat this to others so they can help one another. Young or old!!!  Lila, i am so happy your still doing this site. I do alot of reading on this issue and i do thank you for giving me alot of the info you have. Alot i did not know and went to my Drs and asked and they would say "I thought i told you" haha... But i wont give out where i got the info but its for my info. and i want to always better my health and know what opions i have with it. Thanks again and take care xoxoKiss

In regards to this article, it is also important to note that when you are weight training and increasing lean muscle mass, and as a result losing fat your BMI changes as well. Most women need at least 22% (althlete BMI test) body fat to menstruate. However, I have found doctors want to just prescribe hormone replacement when it truly is a matter of the balance of exercise and diet. Also, I exercise 6 days a week, I love it. It is part of who I am and makes me feel great. I think obsession to physical exercise is a strong term and it is for the few that have eating issues. I would rather have an addiction to exercise than an addiction to things like nicotine or other narcotics that destroy the human body.

Everyone is so different as well to what responds to what and what time to eat. It is all regulated by hormones in the rate of fat absorption and elimination. It is best to see a nutritionist, they can determine a diet that is right for you according to your activity level. Then the hormones should balance and normal menstruation appears.
