Just a few months ago Saudi Arabia's ministry of health sent more than a million text messages to spread the word about bone health. Now a new campaign has been launched in the Middle East to raise public concern about osteoporosis and low bone mass. The effort, which is sponsored by Novartis Consumer Health, will offer free bone scans in the United Arab Emirates and promote awareness about proper nutrition and other ways to stave the condition.
