Joan Rivers speaks out about Osteoporosis

Joan Rivers has osteoporosis - and she admits, "Osteoporosis doesn't look good on anybody." This week she and her daughter Melissa hosted a cocktail party organized by the National Osteoporosis Foundation. The event coincides with a new series of Public Service Announcements - on TV, radio and in print - starring Joan to help raise awareness about the condition. The famed television personality has previously met with a Surgeon General and spent time in Washington to lobby for more funding to promote prevention of the disease. It's great to see Joan use her prominence to highlight this widespread condition and bring it much-needed attention.
