About Me

I am a journalist living in Sebring, FL. I have a two-year-old son and also help take care of my grandmother, who lives in a nursing home nearby. She and my other grandmother suffered from osteoporosis. Besides writing about osteoporosis, I run a career consulting company, www.franklininitiatives.com and contribute to www.gogunter.com. I used to be a staff writer at The Washington Post. Before that I served as a reporter at the Miami Herald and as an editorial board fellow at USA Today. I received a B.A. from Yale and an M.S. from the Columbia School of Journalism.
