Had to stop using Forteo

Hello, Wanted to give a up-date about my side effects. Took Forteo for 2-weeks, did o.k. Then I had severe pain in my spine after taking the injection, call my Dr., His reply was the Forteo had nothing to do with the pain, next time go the the emergency room. Newly diagnosed

I've recently been diagnosed with Osteopenia and I was in shock. I have small bones and or was 5' 1 1/2" so I therefore take a large amount of calcium/magnesium 2000mg. to be as preventive as possible. I am on the treadmill everyother day and eat well. Dexa scores

My T-scores range from -1.65 in L1 to -3.18 in L4.  I assume that one has to look at this from the "worst link in the chain" perspective, rather than the average.  I am also assuming that osteoporosis can affect individual vertebra more or less than others.  I read somewhere on another site, that readings for some of... Read moreChevron

DEXA Scan Results
