Newly diagnosed

I've recently been diagnosed with Osteopenia and I was in shock. I have small bones and or was 5' 1 1/2" so I therefore take a large amount of calcium/magnesium 2000mg. to be as preventive as possible. I am on the treadmill everyother day and eat well. Dexa scores

My T-scores range from -1.65 in L1 to -3.18 in L4.  I assume that one has to look at this from the "worst link in the chain" perspective, rather than the average.  I am also assuming that osteoporosis can affect individual vertebra more or less than others.  I read somewhere on another site, that readings for some of... Read moreChevron

DEXA Scan Results

Forteo and low vitamin D

I wonder if anyone knows about this? I started treatment with Forteo recently but in my preliminary blood work to check my calcium levels my vitamin D level came back at a very low 17.
