Hi Linda:  Are you planning a parathyroidectomy?  If so, your surgeon should be able to answer this question.  Generally once the parathyroid is treated, your bone loss slows dramtically, but I'm not sure you could say that it would repair your bones, but I'm not sure and that's why your surgeon should answer this question.  Once the procedure is done it should regulate your calcium, PTH, vitamin D and phosphorus levels which will help your bones very much.

Good luck with the procedure, and I hope it makes you feel much better, like so many report after having this done.
