Hi   Just to add to the other information you have received.  I am 60 - menopause 50yrs.  Have had 3 dexa scans.  only minimal reduction in 9 years.   I was shown my osteoporotic range on a graph.  Although I am -2.5 I am in within limits, albeit on the bottom of the scale.   As I get older of course it will gradually drop but then it is considered acceptable for your bone mass to reduce the older you get anyhow and you can still be within limits because the accepted limits go down on the graph. LOOK UP 'FRAX' diagnostic tool on the web.   e.g. on the graph at 75yrs my reading may be lower but the graph will still be within normal limits for your age albeit on the low side.   At the moment I only take Calcium and Vit D but it has to be above 1000mg and elemental calcium (ask the pharmacist) Ask your gp for the two very good ones. Some calcium says it provides 500mg but you will only get half of that from the tablet.    I am under a London Hospital and am considering a yearly injection.  but not sure
