Q: is osteo-porosis preventable?

Hi irenem,

 

The best prevention, for osteoporosis, starts in childhood. If you start early with weight-bearing exercise, calcium and D, you are more likely to prevent it. Some additional vitamins recommended for our bones are vitamin K, B, magnesium, potassium and vitamin C. A healthy life style and avoidance of things that cause bone loss, like smoking, can help you to prevent osteoporosis.
