Hi Bony Marorni, I read that article two and don't like beer.  If you read the article again, they say that it's the phytoestrogen in beer that may help bones.  If you don't like beer, you could ask your Dr. about phytoestrogen (plant estrogens) which you can get over-the-counter at most stores.  I have no idea how it works, but ask about this as well.  Phytoestrogens aren't too expensive either, and are easily available, but your Dr. would have to tell you if this is something to think about.  Some people can take these types of estrogen so make sure you aren't one of those.

I do believe we've covered the gamut on possible osteoporosis medications now, and the other things to check for "medications" and "medical conditions" that can cause bone loss.  I hope with all this information you can find a solution.

There is one other medication that I didn't mention in our discussions, and that is Fosteum.  Here's an article on Fosteum and how it works.  Fosteum is considered a medicinal food, that you get with a Drs prescription.  The ingredients are: D3, zinc and genistein (isolated from soy) that you could ask your Dr. about.

If you have another question just ask.

Correction:  Above sentence should say: "Some people can't take these types of estrogen, so make sure you aren't one of those."
