Hi Ann, welcome...  I'm sorry that you got a bill like this!  Did anyone explain that it would cost this much?  All you can do is to contact Medicare and explain that you had no idea it would cost this much and ask what advice they may have.  Also, ask your Dr. what you're suppose to do.

We've been getting a lot of posts like this about the cost of Reclast.  Maybe one of our members could help to explain what they did.  Here's a link to a conversation about the cost of Reclast.  Try posting there, or contacting one of the members to see if they have a solution.

Good luck...

Seems like a racket to me. Medical porfession's version of the Wild, Wild West. Anything goes. No guidlelines whatsover.

If grocery stores were allowed to operate like this we'd starve and die or run ourselves ragged going from one store to another.

When dealing with ones health we need to have faith in the Doctor we choose. Sure we can shop around but, there are finate number of Doctors within a reasonable distance of where we live in which to 'shop around.'

The Free Market System, working against you every day and in every way. You don't pay for a service or a product - 'whatever the market will bear', but ultimatel we all pay for rising insurance costs.

Health Care for profit (stock holders) is immoral and obscene. PERIOD.
