Q: Are Boniva & Reclast the same except for the length of time between treatments?
Hi Christine: There are some differences between IV Boniva and Reclast. Here's a link to Dr. Gonters article on this topic. Boniva didn't do as well in protecting from hip fractures as Reclast did.
There may also be a price difference between the two, depending on your insurance and whether they cover both options for treatment.
