Q: I am 80 yrs old,take losartan and metoprolol for High Blood Pressure. Should I take boniva?

If I am taking losartan and metoprolol can I take boniva?

Hi sulamita123, welcome and thanks for your question.  I've never taken Losartan while taking an osteo med, but I do currently take metoprolol along with my osteo meds and didn't experience any problems.

 

Are you considering the oral dose of Boniva or the quarterly injection?  Neither of these drugs list your other side effects with these meds as being something you can't take.

 

Check with your Dr. to be sure this is correct, or if you can get a faster answer from your pharmcist.  Good luck with this!!  And let us know how you do
