How severe is -4.1 BD score for a 55 year old male & would you recommend Forteo or Boniva?

My husband is on Forteo. His score is -2.6 and had a broken back before he found out about his score. His brother just found out his score is -4.1 but his Dr. did not limit him at all as far as the amount of weight he can lift, he even said he could ride a horse. My husband who has the -2.6 score...
