Hi Naomi:  Pain in general is not a symptom of osteoporosis until you've had a fracture.  Have you checked with your Dr. to see if you've fracture any bones in the spine or knee?  There are several tests that can be done to see what may be happening in these areas, like a X-ray or cat scan.  Good luck, I hope you haven't fractured any bones.
