Hi Sam, welcome and thanks for your question. Reclast is FDA approved for postmenopausal women, but I have heard of Drs prescribing it for those younger if their t-scores are low, or they've had fragility and non fragility fractures. Some Drs believe this should be reserved for those past meno and won't prescribe it, so your personal history and degree of bone loss may have something to do with this.
If you are planning on becoming pregnant you need to stop it well in advance, so just be careful since we don't know what the affect is on babies, or nursing mothers which is why it isn't rx'd for those.
Here's an article I wrote on treatment options for premenopausal women with osteoporosis that may help and might give you some ideas for other treatments. Talk with your Dr to see if there is a danger to you in taking this. I think the biggest concern is the possibility of pregnancy.
