Q: Are all osteoporosis drugs safe for your liver, or are some better than others?

We take osteoporosis treatments for many years.  Do some treatment drugs have a cumulative effect on the liver?

Hi Steve, which medication are you taking?  I don't see any warnings on the bisphosphonates (Boniva, Actonel, Fosamax, or Reclast) that relate to the liver.  It's best to check with your Dr. or Pharmacist and ask if any of these meds could be detrimental to the liver.
